Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of MANWË's event discovery and management application (the "Service"), operated by MANWË ("we," "us," or "our").
IMPORTANT: By clicking "Sign Up," creating an account, or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our
Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the Service, you confirm that:
- You are at least 18 years of age
- You have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement
- You will comply with all applicable laws and regulations
- All information you provide is accurate and current
2. Service Description
MANWË provides an event discovery and management platform that includes:
- Event browsing and RSVP functionality
- Age-based event filtering (21-34, 35-54, 55+)
- Chapter-based geographic organization (currently limited to Irvine, CA)
- Social features (friend system, messaging, groups)
- Event chat and community interaction
- Event suggestion submission
- Planner tools (for planner subscribers): AI-powered event generation, dashboard management, preferred venues
3. Account Registration
3.1 Account Creation
To use the Service, you must:
- Complete the signup process at app.manweclub.com/signup
- Provide a valid email address, password, name, and birthday
- Select and pay for a subscription plan
- Accounts are created only after successful payment confirmation
3.2 Account Security
You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
- All activities that occur under your account
- Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized access
We are not liable for losses arising from unauthorized use of your account.
3.3 Account Types
- Standard User: Access to event browsing, RSVPs, social features
- Planner User: Additional access to event creation tools, AI generation, dashboard, preferred venues management
4. Subscription and Billing
4.1 Subscription Plans
We offer the following subscription plans:

4.2 Payment Processing
- All payments are processed securely through Stripe
- We accept major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover)
- We do not store full credit card numbers
- You authorize us to charge your payment method for all fees incurred
4.3 Auto-Renewal
AUTO-RENEWAL NOTICE: Your subscription will automatically renew at the end of each billing cycle unless you cancel before the renewal date. You will be charged the then-current subscription price.
- Monthly Plans: Renew on the same day each month
- Yearly Plans: Renew on the anniversary of your signup date
- We will send you a reminder email before each renewal
4.4 Price Changes
We reserve the right to modify subscription prices. Price changes will:
- Be communicated at least 30 days in advance via email
- Apply to your next billing cycle after notification
- Allow you to cancel before the new price takes effect
4.5 Failed Payments
If a payment fails:
- We will attempt to charge your payment method multiple times
- You will receive email notifications of the failure
- Your subscription status will change to "past due"
- Access may be suspended after 7 days of non-payment
- Your account may be cancelled after 30 days of non-payment
4.6 Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time:
- Cancel directly from your Profile tab in the app
- Contact us at hello@manweclub.com
- Access continues until the end of your current billing period
- No refunds for partial billing periods
- You may resume a cancelled subscription before the period ends
4.7 Refund Policy
No Refunds: All subscription fees are non-refundable except:
- Duplicate charges (refunded within 5 business days)
- Service unavailability exceeding 72 consecutive hours (prorated refund)
- As required by law
4.8 Taxes
All prices are exclusive of applicable taxes. You are responsible for all sales, use, and other taxes. We will add applicable taxes to your invoice where required by law.
5. Acceptable Use Policy
5.1 Prohibited Activities
You agree NOT to:
- Violate any laws or regulations
- Infringe on intellectual property rights
- Harass, abuse, threaten, or intimidate other users
- Post false, misleading, or fraudulent content
- Transmit viruses, malware, or harmful code
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or other accounts
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service
- Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) without permission
- Resell or redistribute the Service
- Create fake accounts or impersonate others
- Spam other users with unsolicited messages
- Post sexually explicit, violent, or hateful content
5.2 Event Conduct
- RSVPs are commitments to attend; cancel if your plans change
- Event chat must remain respectful and on-topic
- Do not use events for commercial promotion without permission
5.3 Enforcement
Violation of these rules may result in:
- Content removal
- Warning or temporary suspension
- Permanent account termination without refund
- Legal action if necessary
6. User Content and Data
6.1 Your Content
You retain ownership of content you submit (messages, event suggestions, profile information). By submitting content, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to:
- Store, process, and display your content
- Make your content available to other users as part of the Service
- Use aggregated, anonymized data for analytics and improvements
6.2 Content Responsibility
- You are solely responsible for your content
- You represent that you have all necessary rights to submit your content
- We are not responsible for user-generated content
- We may (but are not obligated to) monitor and remove content that violates these Terms
6.3 Data Backup
While we maintain regular backups, you are responsible for maintaining your own backups of important data. We are not liable for data loss.
7. Intellectual Property
7.1 Our Rights
The Service, including all software, designs, text, graphics, logos, and trademarks, is owned by MANWË and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
7.2 Limited License
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Service for personal, non-commercial use in accordance with these Terms.
7.3 Restrictions
You may not:
- Copy, modify, or create derivative works of the Service
- Remove or modify copyright notices
- Use our trademarks without permission
8. AI-Powered Features
For planner subscribers, we offer AI-powered event generation using OpenAI:
- AI generates event suggestions based on your preferences (category, location, age range, date)
- All AI-generated events require planner review and approval before publication
- AI suggestions are not guaranteed to be accurate or suitable
- You are responsible for reviewing and editing all AI-generated content
- We do not use your personal data to train AI models
9. Third-Party Services
The Service integrates with third-party services:
We are not responsible for the practices, content, or availability of third-party services. Your use of third-party services is governed by their respective terms.
10. Disclaimers and Warranties
AS-IS SERVICE: THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.
We disclaim all warranties, including but not limited to:
- Availability: We do not guarantee uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free operation
- Accuracy: Event information, AI suggestions, and user content may contain errors
- Security: We cannot guarantee absolute security of data transmission or storage
- Fitness: We do not warrant that the Service meets your specific requirements
- Results: We do not guarantee any particular results from using the Service
Event Disclaimer: We are not responsible for event cancellations, changes, or inaccuracies. Always verify event details directly with venues.
11. Limitation of Liability
LIABILITY CAP: TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING FROM THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
We are NOT liable for:
- Indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
- Loss of profits, revenue, data, or business opportunities
- Service interruptions or data loss
- User content or conduct
- Third-party services or websites
- Events organized through the platform
- Unauthorized access to your account
Some jurisdictions do not allow limitation of liability, so these limitations may not apply to you.
12. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless MANWË, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including attorneys' fees) arising from:
- Your use of the Service
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your content or conduct
- Your violation of any third-party rights
13. Termination
13.1 By You
You may terminate your account by cancelling your subscription or contacting us at hello@manweclub.com.
13.2 By Us
We may suspend or terminate your account immediately, without notice, for:
- Violation of these Terms
- Non-payment
- Fraudulent activity
- Illegal conduct
- Abuse of the Service or other users
- Any reason, at our sole discretion
13.3 Effect of Termination
- Your access to the Service ends immediately
- No refunds for unused subscription time (unless required by law)
- Your data may be deleted after 30 days (see Privacy Policy)
- Sections 6, 7, 10, 11, 12, 14, and 15 survive termination
14. Dispute Resolution
14.1 Informal Resolution
Before filing a claim, contact us at hello@manweclub.com to attempt informal resolution. We will work in good faith to resolve disputes within 30 days.
14.2 Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
14.3 Arbitration
Any disputes not resolved informally shall be resolved through binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Commercial Arbitration Rules.
- Arbitration will be conducted in Orange County, California
- You and MANWË each pay your own arbitration fees and costs
- The arbitrator's decision is final and binding
Opt-Out: You may opt out of arbitration by emailing hello@manweclub.com within 30 days of account creation with "Arbitration Opt-Out" in the subject line.
14.4 Class Action Waiver
YOU AND MANWË AGREE THAT DISPUTES WILL BE RESOLVED ON AN INDIVIDUAL BASIS. YOU WAIVE ANY RIGHT TO PARTICIPATE IN A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT OR CLASS-WIDE ARBITRATION.
14.5 Small Claims Court
Either party may bring claims in small claims court if they qualify.
15. General Provisions
15.1 Changes to Terms
We may modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective:
- Immediately upon posting for minor changes
- 30 days after email notification for material changes
Your continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. If you disagree, cancel your subscription.
15.2 Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and MANWË and supersede all prior agreements.
15.3 Severability
If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full effect.
15.4 No Waiver
Our failure to enforce any right or provision is not a waiver of that right.
15.5 Assignment
You may not assign these Terms. We may assign our rights and obligations without restriction.
15.6 Force Majeure
We are not liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control (natural disasters, war, pandemics, internet outages, etc.).
15.7 Export Compliance
You agree to comply with all applicable export and import laws and regulations.
15.8 California Users
Under California Civil Code Section 1789.3, California users are entitled to the following consumer rights notice:
- The Complaint Assistance Unit of the Division of Consumer Services of the California Department of Consumer Affairs may be contacted in writing at 1625 North Market Blvd., Sacramento, CA 95834, or by telephone at (800) 952-5210.
By using MANWË, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy.
